Optimal Temperature for Parrotfish and Lucky Numbers to Keep
Maintaining a water temperature between 28-29 degrees Celsius (82-84 degrees Fahrenheit) is most suitable for keeping parrotfish. These fish are quite sensitive to temperature fluctuations. Keeping 1, 6, 8, or 9 parrotfish are all good options, with six fish being considered the luckiest.

The ideal temperature range for parrotfish is between 28-29°C (82-84°F) because they are tropical fish that thrive in warm environments. Within this temperature range, their appetite and activity levels are at their peak, promoting optimal growth and overall health. Although they are tropical fish, parrotfish can tolerate a broader range of water temperatures, surviving in environments from 23-30°C (73-86°F). However, lower temperatures can hinder their development. Therefore, it is advisable for owners to use an aquarium heater to maintain a consistently warm and stable environment for their fish.
When keeping parrotfish in a home aquarium, choosing to keep 1, 6, 8, or 9 are all considered good choices. However, keeping six parrotfish is generally thought to bring the most luck. In Feng Shui, the number six represents metal, and keeping them in water is believed to promote the continuous flow of wealth, with water being nourished by metal. Hence, keeping six parrotfish in a tank is considered beneficial according to the principle of 'metal generating water'. Don’t miss out on this:Pet Breeding
