Caring for a 15-Day-Old Great Dane Puppy: A Comprehensive Guide

A 15-day-old Great Dane puppy is still very young and completely dependent on its mother's milk. If the mother's milk isn't available, you'll need to bottle-feed the puppy with a high-quality puppy-specific goat milk formula. It's also crucial to keep the puppy warm and assist with bowel movements.

At this stage, Great Dane puppies are not yet weaned and should ideally be nursed by their mother. If a mother dog isn't present, you'll need to provide a specially formulated goat milk powder for puppies. Feed the puppy every two hours, giving approximately 2-5 ml per feeding. We recommend using a high-quality brand of pet goat milk powder that caters specifically to the health and nutritional needs of puppies. Maintaining a warm environment is also vital for 15-day-old puppies as their immune systems are not yet fully developed. Being exposed to the cold can lead to illness or even death. Therefore, it's best to keep the ambient temperature between 22-25°C (72-77°F) to ensure they remain comfortable and healthy. This is very important for Great Dane puppy care.

Lastly, 15-day-old puppies are unable to defecate or urinate on their own. To assist them, you need to use a damp cotton swab or soft tissue to gently stimulate their anal and urethral areas after each feeding. This will help them to release their waste. Consistent assistance with this process is necessary for young puppy health.
