Owners of these dogs need extensive experience in dog training, and these dogs require strict training from a young age. Without proper training, Tosas are prone to attacking people. Some more assertive Tosas can quickly approach a human and deliver a fatal bite to the throat in seconds. This is why they are banned in many cities.

How Much Does a Japanese Tosa Cost?

The price of a Tosa ranges from approximately 3,000 to 5,000 RMB. These dogs are categorized into four levels: Komusubi, Sekiwake, Ozeki, and Yokozuna, with higher-level dogs commanding a higher price. The Tosa Inu is a Japanese breed of fighting dog that was first bred in the Tosa region of Kochi Prefecture on Shikoku Island around 1860. The Tosa is a large, mysterious breed often referred to as the "King of Eastern Fighting Dogs". They are known to be one of the most aggressive dogs, yet they show great loyalty to their owners. In Japan, they are a symbol of tenacity, inheriting an Eastern mystique and absorbing the physical characteristics of Western breeds. A good Tosa is not something that can be easily purchased with money.
